Julio Albarrán
Julio is an independent photographer and filmmaker living in rural Asturias in Northern Spain. As a visual chronicler, he works with the utmost respect for people with the awareness that each situation implies the process of finding the balance between being an observer and a participant. His purpose is to document communities from a close angle by building trust so that they can continue to be themselves. Some of his most frequent collaborators include ZEMOS98, Daniel & Nina Carasso’s Foundation, the European Cultural Foundation, European Municipalist Network, EuroCrowd, Goteo, Platoniq and more.
